RSD

Pink Trash was originally built for Performance Machine to showcase a mixture of RSD and PM parts. This bike started life as a bike called Vintage Plaid. We decided to freshen it up with an off-the-wall pink paint job. It was then discovered by Candies (the apparel company) who wanted to use it to market their new line of clothing with Britney Spears.  The photo shoot went great except the new cotton candy paint job got destroyed by Brit’s high heels.  We finally got around to repainting the bike and sold it to a good customer….for his lady.

We finally got the opportunity to sink our teeth into HD’s best handling big bore Vtwin, the Dyna. The goal was to maintain the stock sheet metal and stance while improving the handling and acceleration using all the RSD parts we have available for the Dyna. A little extra fab and some paint and the Dyna Fighter was born. This project got us going on a slew of new ideas. Take a closer look and check out the license plate bracket/ tail light, chain guard, engine covers, fork brace, tank belt and  gauge relocation. Possibly coming to a shop near you.

When building a motorcycle we always have our eyes and ears open looking for influences. One thing that has always inspired us are Stanley Kubrick films. His attention to detail and cinematography are unmatched as far as we are concerned. One might look at this bike as one of his films, every detail has been meticulously thought out and executed to create a visual assault on the senses. Keep it simple and use your finishes to make the bike flow. This is our first introduction of brass into our parts line which brings about the name “Full Metal Jacket.” A full metal jacket is a bullet encased in a copper alloy such as gilding metal, or cupronickel, or a steel alloy shell. The jacket allows for higher muzzle velocities. With that in mind we have added brass into our parts line to further enhance our already state of the art finishes.
